Tourism in Alicante

If you stay at the Hostal San Juan, going sightseeing in Alicante is a more than affordable option. Our beach hostel is located just 7 kms. from the center of the tourist city of Alicante, and is connected by two different public transport options: one by urban bus and the other by tram. Both forms of public transport from Hostal San Juan run through Muchavista beach, El Campello and Alicante and leave you in the center in about 20 minutes.

Alicante is a quiet city open to the Mediterranean Sea with various historical and emblematic buildings such as the Santa Bárbara Castle, the San Nicolás Co-Cathedral or the Carbonell House, as well as museums and cultural centers, and its well-known Esplanade of Spain right next to the port. A walk through the old town of Alicante will make you feel the pulse of the history of this city by the sea: the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Convento de las Monjas de la Sangre...enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, the tapas bars, while touring the city.

Alicante also offers other options if you want to go shopping. There are several shopping routes around Alicante, both to taste the typical gastronomic products in its Central Market, buy a souvenir in the Old Town or see the fashion trends in one of its shopping centers or shopping streets and commercial businesses.

The reception staff at our beach hotel can advise you on what to visit in Alicante, what museums to see and other tourism options in this city. Ask at reception for tourist information about Alicante, El Campello, San Juan Beach or Muchavista.
